Covid-19 Update

Last updated: 03/04/2020

We appreciate the uncertainty that you may be feeling about your impending holiday and hope that these guidelines will help you to assess your own individual circumstances. We will do what we can to help and will offer guidance and advice as necessary.

This is an ever-changing situation and we need to assimilate the information for ourselves. Please bear with us while we field a number of enquiries.

On the 22nd March the government clarified that essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar whether for isolation purposes or holidays. Please click here for current government guidelines.

We are therefore requesting that you do not travel for your holiday if you have an arrival date before the 1st May 2020. We will constantly review this date along with any new guidelines or directives from the government. These measures are designed to protect you, your family and our local residents and help reduce the spread of the virus.

If you have paid for your holiday in full and your arrival date is on or before the 30th April 2020, ….

In the first instance, you must consult your travel insurance company to see if you are able to make a claim. We will be happy to supply you with a letter or email in order to assist with this claim. If you have not taken out separate holiday insurance, please check with your bank as some accounts have insurance policies built in to them (eg. travel, mobile phone, car insurance etc). Alternatively, if you have paid by credit card, you may be able to make a claim through them.

If you chose not to take out holiday cancellation insurance, we may be able to offer a change of dates for the same property within 2020. Please email us with your circumstances. We ask for your patience as we try to deal with a numbers of calls and emails during these difficult times.

Please bear with us if your arrival date is after the 30th April 2020 as we are trying to deal with impending books first.

If you have only paid a deposit…..

If you have only paid a deposit for your holiday we suggest that at this time you do not pay your balance and we will contact you nearer the time. If you choose to cancel your booking you will unfortunately forfeit your deposit.

We hope that you will understand that we are a small business. In these strange times we would like to think that we can all take a share of the financial burden that we are all now faced with.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our guests who have been so kind and understanding this past week. Your support is hugely appreciated.

Assuring you of our best intentions at all times.

Kind regards,

Sarah & Mike
